This is a text description of Figure 7-8, "Token Ring Parameters Dialog Box".

The text surrounding the figure describes the use of this dialog box.

The figure is a screen capture image and contains example data that may not match your system. You must make selections appropriate for your system. The window title bar has the name: "Token ring parameters".

The client area* contains eleven lines of data and has two buttons at the bottom.

The first line contains the phrase "Max send BTU size" followed by an edit box with the entry "4105".

The second line has the phrase "Host type" followed by a button labeled "SNA".

The next five lines each have a check box followed by a phrase. The phrases are:

  1. Request CP-CP sessions

  2. Remote node is network node server

  3. Use HPR

  4. Use HPR link-level error recovery

  5. Reactivate link station after failure

The first, second, and fifth check boxes have been selected.

The next (eighth) line has the phrase "XID retry count" followed by an edit box with the entry "5".

The ninth line has the phrase "Frame retransmit (T1) timer" followed by an edit box with the entry "5000", and is then followed by the term "milliseconds".

The tenth line has the phrase "Frame retransmit limit" followed by an edit box with the entry "3".

The eleventh (last) line has the phrase "Receive ack (T2) timer" followed by an edit box with the entry "100", and is then followed by the term "milliseconds".

The bottom section has the two buttons, which are labeled: "Close" and "Help".
