This is a text description of Figure 7-8, "Defining the Link Station".

The text surrounding the figure describes the use of this dialog box. The figure is a screen capture image and contains example data that may not match your system. You must make selections appropriate for your system. The title bar label is "Define a LAN Connection".

The client area* has four tabs. The open tab is labeled "Basic", and the closed tabs are labeled "Advanced", Adjacent Node", and "Reactivation". The "Basic" tab has six rows of data. Below the tab display is a row of four buttons.

The first line has the term "Link station name:" and an edit box containing the entry "MVS08". The second line has the term "Device name:" followed by a drop-down list box with the entry selection "LAN1_04". The remaining four lines are outlined. The third line has a button labeled "Discover network addresses...". The fourth line has the term "Destination address:" followed by an edit box with the entry "400000000000". The fifth line has a check box (not checked) followed by the label "Swap address bytes". The sixth line has the term "Remote SAP:" followed by a drop-down list box with the entry selection "04".

The four buttons are labeled: "OK", "Cancel", "Apply", and "Help".
