This is a text description of Figure 6-5, "Connection Properties Menu".

The text surrounding the figure describes the use of this menu. The figure is a screen capture image and contains example data that may not match your system. You must make selections appropriate for your system. The title bar label is "Microsoft SNA Server Manager - [ITDEV11]".

The menu bar has eight lists: "File", "Edit", "View", "Insert", "Service", "Tools", "Windows", and "Help".

The button bar has buttons with shortcuts for various commands.

The "Insert" menu has been selected and is highlighted. The menu list is open, and the first item has been selected, opening its own submenu list. The "Insert" menu contains eleven selections: "Connection", "3270", "APPC", "Pool", "Print Server", "Shared Folders", "User", "Workstation", "Link Service...", "TN5250 AS/400 Definition", and "Host Security Domain". The first character in each menu selection (except "Print Server") is underlined. In "Print Server", the "r" of Print is underlined. The first six items have arrow heads to indicate that they each have a sub menu of their own. The sub menu for "Connection" has six selections: "SDLC", "802.2" (highlighted, or selected), "X.25", "Channel", "DFT", and "TwinAx". The first character in each sub menu selection is underlined.

The open menu obscures part of the client area of the Connection Properties Menu.

The client area* is divided into left and right sub windows. The left sub window title bar label is "ITDEV-NT11". The right sub window title bar label is obscured.

The left sub window is a directory tree. The top item is "ITDEV11", is open, and shows a list of servers. The right sub window is a directory tree of any item that is selected in the left sub window.

The footer bar has a label on the right, "Domain:", followed by a field with the entry "ITDEV11".

*client area (or pane) refers to the information section within the window frame or border.
