This is a text description of Figure 6-9, "Enter DLC Values".

The text surrounding the figure describes the use of this dialog box. The figure is a screen capture image and contains example data that may not match your system. You must make selections appropriate for your system. The title bar label is "Connection Properties".

This is the same dialog box as described in figures 6-7 and 6-8. The client area* has four tabs, and the fourth tab ("802.2 DLC") is displayed. The tab names are "General", "Address", "System Identification", and "802.2 DLC". A row of three buttons is at the bottom.

The "802.2 DLC" tab has three lines of data and two group boxes.

The first line has the phrase "Max BTU Length:" (the "B" is underlined) followed by an edit box with the entry "1929". The second line has the phrase "Receive ACK Threshold (frames):" (the "K" of ACK is underlined) followed by an edit box with the entry "2", followed by the term "Retry Limit:" (the "R" is underlined) followed by an edit box with the entry "10". The third line has the phrase "Unacknowledged Send Limit (frames):" (the "U" is underlined) followed by an edit box with the entry "2", followed by the term "XID Retries:" (the "X" is underlined) followed by an edit box with the entry "3".

Below those three lines and on the left is a group box with the label "802.2 Timeouts" and containing three drop-down list boxes. The labels of the edit boxes are "Response (t1):" (the "1" is underlined), "Receive Ack (t2):" (the "2" is underlined), and "Inactivity (ti):" (the "i" is underlined), and the entry in each drop-down list box is "Default".

To the right is another group box with the label "Connection Retry Limits" and containing two drop-down list boxes. The first box is labeled "Maximum Retries:" (the "M" is underlined), and the entry is "No Limit". The second box is labeled "Delay After Failure:" (the "D" is underlined), and the entry is "Default".
