This is a text description of Figure 6-12, "Set Up Parallel Session".

The text surrounding the figure describes the use of this dialog box. The figure is a screen capture image and contains example data that may not match your system. You must make selections appropriate for your system. The title bar label is "Local APPC LU Properties".

This is the same dialog box as illustrated in figure 6-11. The client area* has two tabs labeled "General" and "Advanced". The "Advanced" tab is displayed, and it has several lines of data. A row of three buttons is at the bottom.

The first line has a check box (checked) labeled "Member of Default Outgoing Local APPC LU Pool". The second line has the phrase "Timeout for Starting Invokable TPS" (the "T" of Timeout is underlined) followed by an edit box with the entry "60" followed by the term "sec". The third line has the phrase "Implicit Incoming Remote LU" (the "R" is underlined) followed by a drop-down list box with the entry "<None>".

Next, on the left, are two radio buttons within a group box labeled "LU 6.2 Type". The first radio button (selected) is labeled "Independent" (the "I" is underlined). The second radio button is labeled "Dependent" (the "D" is underlined). To the right of this group box are two lines. The first line has the term "LU Number" (the "N" is underlined) followed by an edit box with the entry "0". The second line has the term "Connection" (the "C" is underlined) followed by a drop-down list box with the entry "<None>".

The next section has one group box with the label "SyncPoint Support". A check box (not checked) is labeled "Enable" (the "E" is underlined). This is followed by the term "Client:" and an empty edit box.

The three buttons are labeled: "OK", "Cancel", and "Help".
