This is a text description of Figure 6-14, "APPC Mode General Properties Dialog Box".

The text surrounding the figure describes the use of this dialog box. The figure is a screen capture image and contains example data that may not match your system. You must make selections appropriate for your system. The title bar label is "APPC Mode Properties".

The client area* has three tabs, and the first tab has been selected. A row of three buttons is at the bottom. The three tabs are labeled "General" (selected), "Limits", and "Characteristics".

At the upper right corner of the "General" tab is an icon of an open notebook. The tab has two lines of data. The first line has the term "Mode Name:" (the "M" is underlined) followed by an edit box with the entry "IBMRDB". The second line has the term "Comment:" (the "C" is underlined) followed by an edit box with the entry "Mode for DRDA".

The three buttons are labeled: "OK", "Cancel", and "Help".
